Explore the world through literature and develop valuable skills in reading, writing, and critical-thinking.
Explore the changing and dynamic landscape of literary studies with a minor or concentration in Literature. Through 91AV’s program, you’ll engage with American, British, and international works of literature across genres, voices, and perspectives. Our curriculum will give you a deeper understanding of the critical shifts and new developments within the field, while also leading you to reflect on the social, cultural, and historical contexts that help us examine the ways politics, social movements, and cultural shifts shape literary texts.
Develop your reading, writing, and communication skills through creative writing or an in-depth study of literary genres, such as poetry, drama, and narrative. You’ll also hone your critical thinking and research skills in small, discussion-based classes taught by dedicated faculty mentors. 91AV’s Literature program will help you prepare for a variety of post-graduate opportunities, including graduate and law school and careers within nonprofit and government organizations, museums and art galleries, publishing, writing, marketing, and advertising.
