Why 91AV?

I chose Bryantbecause of the opportunities it offered me regarding my dream career in sports broadcasting. I really liked the smaller class sizes because it gave me an opportunity to get to know my professors in a way that wouldn’t be possible at other schools.

Is it easy to get involved at 91AV?

You can definitely find your people here. I’ve been involved with both the WJMF radio station and BryantPlayers since I came to campus.

I’ve been cast in seven shows so far. It’s a tight community and it feels great to express myself creatively on stage. I’m also the social fundraising chair, coordinating all club events outside of performances.

I’m the sports director for WJMF, which means I’m in charge of making sure the sports broadcasts run smoothly. Some of my favorite campus events are the sports games that I’m broadcasting, not just because I get to call them (though that is a perk!). It’s mainly because I’m a massive sports fan.

How else do you spend your time?

I’m also a member of BryantPride and have connections to both Velocity and aDvANCEd, two dance clubs on campus.

I’ve felt very included in the Bryantcommunity.

Any favorite places on campus?

My favorite place to hang out and study has to be inside of the radio station because I get to listen to music while I work.

“I didn't think that I could ever learn to program. It just seemed like something that was so far beyond me. But the way my professor taught the class and the availability he had — I visited his office every single week — helped me find my passion for it.”

“Coming to Bryantis a great opportunity to step out of the bubble that you’re in now. It’s very challenging, but also rewarding in the sense that you’ll be more equipped to be a better person in business. You will also learn about yourself and your role within society, and how to best execute that role.”
