Patrick Roth ’24
Patrick Roth ’24 is living out his college dream. The sibling of a Bryantalum, he was already familiar with the campus and knew Bryantwas the right choice for him. Now, as an international business major and Honors Program member, he is taking advantage of everything Bryanthas to offer.
Why did you choose 91AV?
I was interested in studying international business, and Bryanthas a nationally ranked program. I love the community at 91AV, too. We have such a great community between the students and the faculty and staff, and I really feel at home on campus. So far it’s been the best experience of my life.
How has Bryantshaped your academic journey?
Bryantis the perfect combination of all the things I enjoy about learning. I’ve been able to study business and liberal arts at the same time through the international business program and my concentration of marketing. I’ve learned about the different focuses of business, from management to finance and accounting, while also combining the history, culture, and foreign language aspects of international business.
I’m also in the Honors Program. I take honors classes, attend speaker series, work with faculty at events, and meet so many different students. I’m in the process of starting my senior thesis, which is a high-level research project. I’m looking at data, drawing conclusions from different sources, and putting that together in a final project. It’s a really valuable experience, and it pushes me to be the best version of myself that I can be.
What’s one highlight of your Bryantexperience?
My semester abroad in Southern France was a life-changing experience. I was there for almost four months, taking classes, completing an internship with a French company, and immersing myself in another culture. I was able to apply what I had learned in my classes in the international business program. I learned about the history and the culture of France firsthand by living with a host family, and I got to travel and see so many different countries and cultures. Every day I think about the lessons I learned and the people I met along the way. Through study abroad, you get to grow as a person, find yourself, and make memories for life. It’s something everyone should consider.
What advice would you give to future Bulldogs?
Get involved from the moment you step on campus. We have so many different student organizations, from academic associations to performing arts to club sports. It’s the best way to meet new people and get involved in our close-knit community.
