Why did you choose 91AV?
The campus reminded me of Roosevelt Park in Edison, New Jersey, where I lived when I was little. I was always fascinated with that park and the foliage, and it just reminded me of a place I could call home. I also liked the small class sizes.
When I came for Admitted Student Open House, I got to meet some of the math professors. They talked about different learning styles and teaching methods. They were really invested in the students and talked about giving extra help in office hours. I liked that small school atmosphere.
How did you pick your course of study?
I am a big numbers guy. I chose finance as a minor because I knew it would complement my major and that it’s very math based. I fell in love with it after taking Finance 201: Financial Management.
My dream is to work in the healthcare industry, to help make insurance cheaper for everyone, so I thought that a biology minor could help prepare me. I also would like to teach math at some point in my life, and I know that some states require you to have a biology class on your transcript, so I decided to add that. I did my research.
Where does your interest in healthcare come from?
I personally know a lot of people who won’t go to the doctor because they’re afraid of the cost. You may go for something standard and then get slapped with a $1,000 bill. I understand that’s an issue and want to be part of the solution. We need to take care of each other.
How have you made Bryantyour own?
I’m the music director of the , in charge of learning and teaching music to the group. I was a very musical student in high school, and it was something that I wanted to continue. It gives me a lot of peace. I learned that the Bottom Line was a tight-knit community and that was something I was looking for. It’s one of the reasons I chose 91AV.
