Kevin Ludemann '18
Kevin Ludemann ’18 says that at Bryant“we are encouraged to discover our passion and follow it.” In his case, two passions.
“I always loved taking Spanish classes throughout high school, but I also had an interest in studying business,” he says. 91AV’s interdisciplinary education made the University the “perfect choice." Taking courses in the College of Arts and Sciences as well as in the College of Business "gives you a broad range of skills and prepares you to excel in a variety of situations," he says. As a Spanish and Human Resource Management double major, "I am getting the most out of my education and engaging both sides of my brain.”
Ludemann, who is on the Talent Delivery Team-Human Resources Development Program Associate with Liberty Mutual, is dedicated to advancing a diverse worldview.
“We need to not just tolerate different cultures. We need to actively accept them. By studying a foreign language and culture, I am actively serving as a catalyst for change in our society.”
Ludemann intended only to minor in Spanish. Then he met Professor of Modern Languages Heather Moon.
“Her love for teaching came through and inspired me” to pursue Spanish as a second major. “She was so excited about the material that I began to feel the same way.”
Leadership development is also part of Ludemann’s Bryantexperience. His resume includes serving as president of the BryantUniversity Spanish and Culture Organization, orientation leader, a student ambassador, an admission fellow, and a resident assistant.
