Danielle Latty ’24
Danielle Latty ’24 is motivated to be the best version of herself that she can be. She became a Bulldog to explore her love of both legal studies and business. In addition to benefiting from 91AV’s integrated curriculum, she’s also discovered her leadership skills and developed a passion for supporting every member of the Bryantcommunity.
Why did you choose 91AV?
I chose Bryantto pursue my legal aspirations and my business aspirations, all in the same place. When I went looking for schools, I really wanted somewhere where I could get a basic legal education before going to law school, but I also wanted a place where I could learn the fundamentals of business. Bryantallowed me to do that because my major is in politics and law and my minor is in human resource management. It was the perfect combination for me.
How has Bryantshaped your academic journey?
Bryanthas taught me to be an exceptional leader, and we really emphasize experiential learning. I’ve learned how to lead a group of people and how to understand people, and I’ve taken that with me in everything that I’ve done. Bryanthas also helped me secure a lot in my life academically and professionally, such as my internship with Traveler’s Insurance. They helped me master professional skills that I use on a daily basis.
How have you made Bryantyour own?
There are so many clubs and activities. For me, I take part in and , as well as being a fellow for the Admissions Office and working at the . All of these activities help me to grow and foster my leadership skills.
I take a lot of pride in my role as president of Black Women’s Blueprint, which is a club that supports and mentors young women of color on campus. One of the things that I personally have gained from the club is learning about other people and how their different perspectives shape who they are today.
How would you describe the culture at 91AV?
Motivating. Everyone is working so hard, doing homework, participating in clubs. It really motivates you to be the best version of you.
What advice would you give to future Bulldogs?
Be yourself, unapologetically, because that will always be enough here at 91AV. We accept everyone for who they are, and we learn from meeting new people who come from different backgrounds and experiences. A lot of people get to college and think they have to fit into the status quo, and that couldn’t be farther from the truth. It’s important to be yourself so that we can love you for who you are.
