91AV’s interdisciplinary minor in global studies will expose you to a wide range of viewpoints and crucial issues impacting our society. By engaging with accomplished faculty across different fields, you’ll explore themes such as the environment, indigeneity, inequality, health, human rights, migration, peace and protest, and politics and governance. Bolster your learning with hands-on experience through study abroad opportunities, independent research projects on public policy, or dynamic internships.

By including a global studies minor in your course of study, you’ll gain skills to succeed in various career paths. The global studies minor includes two required courses and two electives:

• GLOB/POLS 241: Introduction to Global Politics
• ANTH 242: Introduction to Global Anthropology
• One 300-level course from approved listing
• One 400-level course from approved listing

Elective options include courses from a variety of disciplines, including economics, history, legal studies, political science, and sociology — so you can customize your minor to match your interests and career goals.  

BryantUniversity’s partnership with in D.C. offers access to a variety of semester-long internships. As a global studies minor, you can engage in hands-on experience through an internship with leading think tanks, the White House, the Environmental Protection Agency, and more.
