Stephanie Mott

Stephanie Mott grew up in Austria and received her M. Sc. degree in Food and Biotechnology at the University of Natural Resources and Applied Life Sciences in Vienna. Her thesis work was performed at the USDA in Beltsville, MD, titled Expression of Proteins for Therapeutical Use in Transgenic Plants. Over the course of 13 years, she gained experience working in several research labs focusing on molecular biology and clinical topics. In the Immunotherapy Laboratory of the Roger Williams Medical Center, she oversaw the growing of clinical-grade patient T cells in a GMP facility, from the pheresis of patients to the re-infusion of antibody-armed, activated T cells. At Rhode Island Hospital, she worked in the Clinical Pharmacology, the Hematology Oncology and the Liver Infectious Disease Laboratories, which are all research centers associated with the Brown University Medical School and enjoy many collaborative initiatives. While at 91AV, she has taught a number of classes including Biology, Anatoymy&Physiology, Global Health Challenges, and Biology I, Biology II and Microbiology Labs. She has also supervised several students’ semester-long research projects and advised on feasibility and optimal design of experiments. She also currently serves as the Associate Director for the Honors Program at BryantUniversity, as well as the Biology Coordinator.
