About this Department
Our curriculum is diverse, with courses in promotions, marketing research, marketing analytics, professional selling and sales management, global marketing, services marketing, digital marketing, and consumer behavior. We are known for challenging our students to demonstrate their abilities through practical field experiences and competitions that require them to solve real-world problems.
Through presentations, business plan development, team projects, and the creative application of technology, our students build communication and critical thinking skills.
Marketing is one of the functional areas International Business Program students may choose to concentrate in.
Our faculty
Our faculty members are strong researchers and consultants who are experts in various industries and functions within the field of marketing. They are outstanding teachers who bring their knowledge and expertise into the classroom to create effective and enhanced learning experiences. Our faculty members also support the Global Supply Chain Management program in addition to the Marketing Department.
The marketing concentration
Students who pursue this path learn to identify and select markets; analyze consumer and organizational needs and buying behavior; forecast anticipated actions, plan and develop products; and determine packaging, pricing, logistics, distribution, selling, advertising, and sales promotion strategies.
The digital marketing concentration
A concentration in Digital Marketing prepares students with a theoretical foundation in marketing and applied digital marketing experience to critically evaluate, develop and implement strategies to market products or services using digital technology, such as the Internet, mobile, display ads, and other forms of the digital medium. The objective is to learn how to promote brands and reach consumers through various forms of digital channels such as Google search, social media, email, and websites.
Clubs and organizations
We sponsor events and support a variety of clubs and organizations that offer opportunities to expand upon concepts and ideas developed in the classroom. For example:
- BryantMarketing Association is our collegiate chapter of the , which offers students an opportunity to learn more about the field of marketing and practice their marketing skills. The organization achieves these goals by bringing in marketing executives to speak to members, participating in a variety of charitable activities, and sponsoring the Marketing Night at 91AV.
- Delta Epsilon Chi (DECA) is a national organization for college students preparing for a variety of career areas, with specific emphasis on the areas of marketing, management, merchandising, and entrepreneurship. is a professional organization, providing leadership and career-oriented opportunities to develop and enhance tomorrow’s leaders.

Coming up this fall is the (NISC), which offers a venue for experiential learning, connecting students pursuing careers in sales with some of the nation's top companies. Our students are top performers at major sales competitions held across the country.
