Danielle Chisholm ’23
Danielle Chisholm ’23 has been singing her whole life, and she wasn’t ready to let that end in college. She found her place at Bryantas a member of the and balanced her passion for performing with her academic studies. Now she’s ready to take the skills she learned at Bryantinto her future career.
Why did you choose 91AV?
The second that I stepped on campus, I felt at home. Bryanthad the tight-knit community feel that I was looking for in a school. On move-in day, I was so excited to get here and meet all my new friends. It took me a little bit to settle in and find my group of people, but once I did, I really hit the ground running and found my community.
How has Bryantprepared you for your future career?
My next step is to work in the communications and marketing field. I’ve had two internships, one with Fidelity and one with UKG, that I was able to get through the . They gave me a lot of help with my resume and the job search and all of the other things that go into starting a career.
I really feel that my Bryantexperience has prepared me for the real world. The small class sizes allow the students and faculty to form close relationships, which really helped me to succeed. There’s also a huge network and support system of alumni who really want to see you succeed and are going to help you get to where you want to be. I’m so excited to be able to join the workforce with all the preparation that Bryanthas given me and put that into action.
What’s your favorite place on campus?
The Interfaith Center. I’m in the , which is 91AV’s only competitive, co-ed a cappella group on campus, and we hold a lot of rehearsals there. The space itself is extremely peaceful. It’s a really great gathering place for people of all religions and faiths.
What’s a highlight of your Bryantexperience?
I joined the Bottom Line my first semester. I’ve met some of my best friends in that group, and I served as president. We competed in the Northeast semi-final of the International Collegiate Championship of A Cappella, where we were ranked as one of the top 10 groups in the Northeast. It’s been an exciting part of my Bryantexperience, and it’s been really fulfilling for me as an individual. I’ve grown musically and as a leader in general.
What advice would you give to future Bulldogs?
Put yourself out there as much as you can. You never know what people or opportunities are waiting for you outside of your room. There are so many different communities on this campus that there is somewhere for you, and you just need to put yourself out there and look for it.
